Mutha Thumpr cam with KB Blower?

Hi all.
I rectally purchased a 07 Shelby gt. The pervious owner had comp cams mutha thumpr cams installed about 6 months after he bought it. The cams sound great (I hope they make power and not just noise). I’m considering a KB blower soon. My question is will the mutha thumpr cams work well with a blower? I didn’t get the stock cams with the car, so if theses cams are incompatible with forced induction my only other option is to buy a set of cams. Thanks for any input.

No they won't... You need a cam with a higher exhaust duration.

Re: Mutha Thumper Cams with Blower

Kenne Bell warns that agressive cams could destroy a blower. The problem is that they don't pull enough vaccum, which effects the bypass valve's ability to open and close. I believe the fuel pressure regulator and the boost a pump is also dependant on the vacuum level.
He indicates that the system must be able to sustain a minimum of 10 psi vacuum at idle. I would think this would be blower manufacturer / type independant.

I know my system pulls about 20 psi of vacuum at idle, and decreases with rpm and throttle position. Just a little throttle and it rises to 0 psi and full throttle is 10 psi boost.

Comp cams does sell a blower grind cam for the three valve motor.

I have a stage 2 cam in mine and it's a constant 20 psi vacuum at idle.

Crane and Crower also make a cam for the S197.

I have comp stage 3 cams and ported heads with my KB Mammoth and have had no issues.

The car takes a little to warm up but aside from that it's fine. However, I would not suggest this setup for a daily driver. Too aggressive!

I run the same cams. I think Comp now calls them a Stage II.

When I bought mine they were listed as a stage III. Now the same cam card shows a stage II.
