Anyone here have a Mac catback for their 2005+ GT?
I previously had a 2003 GT with a Mac catback and loved the way it fit and sounded. I've been trying to find some reviews on Mac's 2005+ GT catback system but cannot find any. So my question is for anyone that has this setup, does it fit alright and do you have any complaints about it? Just want to make sure before I drop $500. Thanks guys.
I used to have the MAC axel backs on my old 2005 Mustang and I loved the sound but the drone was unbearable after 30 min. of driving. I just put the Pypes Violators on my new 05' Mustang and love the sound just as much and there is almost no drone (compared to the MAC's), and they were only $210.00 for the pair

I have MAC axle backs...you don't need to go catback since the other stock pipes are already mandrel bent so you don't pick anything up HP wise by buying the other pipes. The MACS are loud and they do drone between 1800 and 2000 rpm, but if you have a stick instead of an auto it doesn't matter since you can shift around it. I like to get noticed so I had to go with loud muffs and the louder you go the more drone you get...but it's still manageble if you have a stick. I wouldn't get them if you have an auto though.
I heard an 03 GT with MACs on it and the sound was real similar (nice and deep) but the 05+ MACs are louder. I also have long tube headers so that made them even louder. I also have 4.10s so I am almost never cruising in that drone range.

I have a 2008 G.T.Manual fitted with MAC Boomtubes, yes they drone between 1800 to 2000 r.p.m,s but sound fantastic and when idling sounds like a Big Block if it annoys you just shift gears and enjoy
