CG is for the 3.31 gears:
CD — 3.55
CG — 3.31

2007 GT, 5 speed, Paxton 2200

3.55s only come as an option on the 2008s.

Until 2007 I think 3.31s were standard o automatics and 3.55s on manuals. Not sure about 08 and up.

05 and 06 manuals were standard with 3.55s. Autos have always been 3.31.

cg axle code

I have an 07 gt that has the code cg and the rear end housing says 3:31. I was pretty dissapointed by this. The dealer that I ordered the car from said 3:55 were standard gears for the manuals. Dont now. BTW, I am thinking on ordering a custom tune. Brenspeed or Bama? Any advice.

Thanks

Both are good. You might also want to consider Tillman Speed Inc. - www.shoptillman.com.
