twin turbo supercharged or twin charged?

so, im about to get a livernois block that can handle 1500 at the crank and this would be my current predicament. the plan is to get around 1000 at the crank and the way im going at it is a "fun" F/I mod with a little of r&d work. the plan is to do away with the 2.3L whipple and put a 3.4L whipple on top, then either do a twin turbo or a procharger F1 whipple feed. i have all the fuel system, auto-trans, and rear end done. it just needs the power. :p my question is though, which way would you go? i know do away with the supercharger and just go tt, but im going the "one of a kind" route and trying to get it at 93 octane. feel free to throw any other ideas too, im open to them.

the fuel system is supporting up to 1300hp, the rear end and trans are built for 1500hp, and the livernois block is a 5.0L stroker for 1500hp @ crank. flexplate and all other little things are done (i have everything but the block, exhaust and F/I setup in the car)

Whatever you do, it seems like its gonna be a tuning nightmare.

Well its gonna cost a ton to tune. But if you want to be unique I suppose its worth it. I have seen twin superchargers, and twin turbo is too common. Twin charging where you use a turbo and supercharger is kind of unique. But if you did twin turbo AND a supercharger you would probably be one of a kind.
I have a friend who is toying with the idea of running quad turbo on his car and using four tiny turbos so you have virtually no lag but you have potential for a lot of boost. Thats also a thought for you. If you have room for it all

PLUS MOTHER EFFING ONE!
Some pontz:"What's it got?"
you: "twin turbos and a supercharger"
Pontz: "wot"
you: "You can't handle this"

However I'd be interested to see how it turns out.
If anything you could just buy a GT500 motor and put the TT's on the stock Eaton, Hellions got a ~6K$ kit for that now. Easily 1000HP crank

i have actually considered the 5.4 with the giant roots blower on it, but no... too flashy. right now, everything but the pre-3.4L whipple induction is set in stone. the only hard part is the twincharged idea or the tt. the turbos have to be where the fog lights are, mid mounted by the trans, or rear mounted. and if the procharger goes in, we have to make a custom bracket and a custom two belf system. its starting to comedown to driveability, fun factor, and sound. project cost is already found for both ways and they're just 500-800 bucks apart. (tt being more). and if anyone has done a twincharge system, please let me know how it worked out and what youre thoughts on it is.

I am kind of missing the point. There are twin turbo Cobras on the streets right now making more than that one is making with dual power adders. Hell, you are in Dallas. Go talk to Clint at HPP. Their twin kit will put down over 900 to the wheels on pump gas.

2005 GT Premium, torch red, all available factory options.
Performance mods: Lets just say it's not stock.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.

I VOTE FOR TRIPLE TURBOS!!!!!!!!!!

Wait... I mean what?

:p

How about a roots blower with a twin turbo? That would be freaking sick man.

I'd look into that triple turbo if I were you. VERY unique !

Keep the S/C you have and rout twin turbo's to it. Talk to Hellion. I spoke to Urist about doing this to my GT (Prior to their release of the hellraiser kit for GT500). I already had the Kenne Bell on at the time. He said I would need to put a pie plate on the KB. In other words you don't need a bigger S/C to go compound boost.

Procharger and a Whipple. You're going to put a load of stress on that crank! Besides one TON of parasitic drag! With that combo you better have a block good for 2000hp. That and a few spare cranks.

Why would you think by using 2 different F/I devices you would be able to run 93 octane at 1000rwhp? It's not the devices that need the octane it's the boost. Doesn't matter how you get it into the motor (1 device or 3) at a certain point your going to need additional octane.

I suppose it depends on his compression ratio.. if he built the motor with like 6:1 compression, he could probably run pump gas at 30 psi.. not the most efficient way to get power, but it sounds plausible. At that kind of boost though, the tune has to be spot on to run that kind of fuel.. no room for error. There is no way to get 1000 hp even at the flywheel on pump gas when starting with 9:1 compression though.. not on a 300 cubic inch motor..

Well I don't think running a 4.6l with 6:1 compression would be the most practical street car. If it ain't for the street then why worry about being able to run 93?
