2006 Mustang airbag light on

HI, the air bag came on the other night its the one in the dash under the tach. when i first start the car it will blink a few times and then it will just stay on. thanks for any help.

Could be any number of the RCM (Restraint Control Module) components. Unfortunatly the only method for diagnosis is the Ford dealer "world class" diagnostic tester. A standard OBD2 code reader can't access the air bag system.

+1, means something is wrong with the SRS system. I would def take it in to get looked at.

Sounds like the RCM may be toast but it's certainly not anything we'll be able to diagnose on here.

Sorry for the late reply i lost internet. Thanks for the help, my brother scanned it with auto enginuity and it found a code of B2295.

B2295 is for the passenger side curtain airbag.

I hear of a recall for a 07 that is throwing that code, but i dont know if it is for the 06 also

Hmmm didn't know their was aftermarket software out there that would read those codes. Checked out the web site and it looks interesting.

Was he able to clear the code with the software?

Yes it can clear codes, it hooks up to the laptop and you can just about see anything you want, you can check all sensors etc. Its a great system
