This is for the technical inspection here in Europe.
They need to verify that the car was not stolen or anything.
Sticker that is behind the windshield is not enough for the inspectors because it can be easily changed if you remove the windshield.
They are looking for the chassis VIN because it is punched into the chassis and is permanent.

Most vehicles have several vin number locations which are not generally known to the public for this exact reason. Law enforcement, National Insurance Crime Bureau And other regulator agencies should have acces to lists by vehicle manufacturer depicting these locations...in other words they should be smart enough to find it.

Agreed. These are typically known as hidden vins. Here in the US you can go to your state police and they'll pull the hidden vin locations to see if they all match.

2010 Torch Red GT Premium. 5speed, 19", security package, HID's, comfort package, 3.73, American Thunder Flowmasters.

I have a 05 mustang GT, and I believe you can find the vin number on the drivers side door jam.

I believe the vin number can be found inside the drivers side door on the manufacturers tag.

It could possibly be inside the driver's side fender well under the fender apron.

Another possible location is the upper left or upper right side of the firewall.

This guy is not the good ole' usa and they likely have very few if any mustang's there. You know how incompetent DMV workers in the US are? Now imagine if they had to try and find the hidden VIN on a Koenigsegg, goodluck

If you look around other forums there are similar questions asked because they have to take a sketch of the VIN number in order to register the vehicle in a lot of foreign countries.
