Question 2010 mustang rolled down driveway while in park and with park brake on

Hi. I had to shovel my driveway today and so I shoveled the lower part first which has a little incline to it, then moved the car onto that part so I could shovel the top part. I started shoveling and looked over and my car was rolling down the driveway. I ran and opened the door and was about to jump in when it stopped. I rechecked everything, the park brake was on and it was in park. I left it running so it would thaw out my windows. By the time I was done shoveling the top half it had moved another 2 feet.
A couple weeks ago a friend of ours had the car and while she was driving it, the car accelerated all by itself and she had to throw it into neutral to get it to stop, the brake wouldn't stop it. The mat wasn't in the way either.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? My mom read that a guy was sitting at a light and the accelerator engaged and put him out into traffic. Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

Take it in to the dealership? How could a forum possibly help you with an issue like this? Take it to where you bought the car from and tell them what happened. That way if you do end up in traffic because your car accelerated by its self you have leverage against the dealership because you went in for the issue. Not much else can be done. If it doesn't happen when the dealer is with you they most likely won't try to fix the issue.

Thanks but I already planned on taking it to the dealership, but since it's a Sunday I can't till tomorrow and that's why I got on here to see if anyone may have had a similar experience. No need to be rude to me!

Was it rolling or sliding, although the E brake does not work as well in reverse it seems it would need throttle to get past it. I have had many a car and truck slide away on a thin layer of ice or snow before.
