Well, my emissions place makes me set my tuner (bama) back to stock to get it to pass. So let's say I install some long tube or supercharger or something that wont run properly without a tune. how would I go about setting it back to stock and passing?

Are you running an O/R mid-pipe right now? I don't see why your Bama Steet or Performance tune isn't passing emissions, yet your stock one will. We keep the rear O2's active in those tunes and have efficient fuel economy incorporated in.
Give me some more details on your setup and we should be able to figure out what's going on here.

I have stock exaust except for flowmasters, i also have a CAI, underdrive pulleys, and gears. But they said i had to set it back to stock because the tuner was constantly "resetting" the computer or something like that. Said that the critical monitors where not ready to be checked or something of that nature. So i had to set it back to stock, then remove my CAI (so there where no codes thrown) then drive around to complete the "drive cycle" P1000 code. Then i went back and it passed. But my problem is, i want to install LT or a supercharger. But i dont know how i could set it back to stock or have it pass with a tuner on it? Any help or tips would really help me out!
I was running the 91 Octane Race Bama tune. When I took it in for emissions it did not pass. I called AM, and they said to drop it down to the 87 Octane tune since the 91 Race tune was not made for emissions. Which tune are you running? You shouldn't have to set it all the way back to stock, just tone the tune down so it'll pass.
Check into this, that way you won't have to continually remove and add parts every time you want to pass emissions.
Just curious, did they tell you why you didn't pass?
It was related to my O2 sensors. O2 Heater and something else. I tried looking for the paper that gave the description but couldn't find it. When I toned down the tune and drove to reset the computer, those emission problems went away.
Just curious, did they tell you why you didn't pass?
Yes, the Race tune does turn off the rear O2 sensors. However, both the Street and Performance tune keep them active, regardless of what octane they are for. You weren't getting the emissions test done with the Race tune uploaded, were you?
