Hello,
I'm replacing the 8" subs in the doors with EARTHQUAKE SWS-8. These subs are shallow and I figure they're an easy fit. The shaker subs are a bit muddy for my taste. Has anyone out there removed the panals on these doors yet? I could use some advise as to an easy removal. Thanks, Rich
Hello and welcome to AFM. I moved your post to a section that is more likely to get more accurate responses to your question. Good luck, and glad to have here.
Welcome to the forum. If you look at the top of 2005+ Mustang GT Tech you will find Tech Links. go to post 44 and you will find the PDF file for Door Panel Removal.

Welcome to the site...they just snap on and off...but check the links as stated above so you dont break the clips.

The door panels are held on with screws, some in hidden spots like behind the inside door handle and the arm rest area where you grab the restto close the door. the other thing you will notice is that the factory sub is attached from inside the door panel by a bolt to the magnet, so don't try to remove the sub by just removing the screw visable when the outside trim ring is removed.

My bad...I thought he was just talking about the speaker covers

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
I am curious how this works out, will you keep us posted with updates, and maybe some photos?
Thanks
It was a snap! anyone can do this removal. its just a matter of removing some screws and upluging a couple of plugs for the window switches and then lifting the panal out.
