I have an 07 gt with various mods including LT Headers, x pipe, cams, CAI, 93 tune, flowmaster 44s, hurst short throw, Eibach pro kit, amongst a few others. I'm getting 410s installed soon(presently have 355s) and was wondering if I should put on a 62 throttle body vs. the stock one and will it help at all? And will I have to change my CAI or will it still connect ok?
Or any other mods u would suggest to make it complete considering I will not be supercharging .

I got the Ford Racing 62mm throttle body, and it looks awesome, but unless you are planning on going force induction, an upgraded throttle body won't do much for our naturally aspirated setups. Only expect a few hp from an upgraded throttle body alone. These 4.6 engines just don't suck in enough air naturally aspirated to make big gains from a throttle body upgrade. Depending on which cold air intake you have, it will probably clear a larger throttle body. Most have a segment right before the throttle body that can expand to fit around larger throttle bodies. I have the Ford Racing CAI, and it was fine.
Don't expect big power gains from an upgraded throttle body, but if you are looking for something to really make your engine bay pop, they can look pretty sweet under the hood.
So what about the entire intake manifold? With throttle body? Am I getting too deep then? Will it help? Hate to spend $1200 or more. Then probably more with another CAI if. Doesn't work and labor. How bout a spacer?? I hear bad and good about those.
A 62mm TB will be little more than underhood eye candy on a N/A 4.6 that's limited to 6500rpm, and not worth the money unless you can find one cheap in ebay.
A Ford Racing intake manifold will only add power from ~5300rpm upwards with a loss of torque between ~3300-5200rpm. It's best used when combined with a 62mm TB, performance cams, and ported heads to allow the engine to spin past 7000rpm.
My rpms do go past 7000 now since I've done all this work to the car. Not sure when or why or how but I can run past 7000 easily, I just choose not to push it to far past that out of fear lol. I think I am going to put in 410s very soon in place of my existing 355s. I just thought I would get some more gain also adding the other spoken about mods but if it won't help other than looks I probably won't.
