according to discount tires chart. max tire width with a 35-45 profile (if i remember right) on a 10" = 315. But i would never do that. 295 is a perfect size i would say.. i have 295 on 10" rears. and 285 on 10" in the front
Nothing I can think of . . . other than there being room for 285/35's on 18x11's up front (and in Michelin PSS the tires end up being about 300mm wide at their widest point that way).
Offset gets kind of critical and you'll likely have under 1.5 mm strut clearance (4.5mm sounds like a ton of room to have).
I'm running pilot super sports 285/35/18 all around on 18x10's. The super sports measure up to almost 290!
I've got about 4.5mm between the strut and the tire, so it's really really tight.
This is on a rim with a +45 offset.
With less offset, or spacers, you could probably go quite a bit bigger.
p.s. only a very mild increase in tramlining with 285's on the front. Can't believe the grip the car has now. These cars need more tire!
