Coil over kit vs. Springs and D-specs?

Is anyone using one of the coil over kits available for our cars, Steeda or H&R? In the grand scheme of things neither of these two kits is all that much more than D-Specs and Lowering springs.

I installed the Steeda coil-over adjustable suspension system with D-Spec's a couple of months ago on my 2006 GT. I love the fact that you can adjust the ride height to your own taste. I figured if I was going to replace the springs and shocks to lower the car, I might as well do it right. The only downside to the kit is the price. I paid about $1600 and installed myself.

With coilovers do you have the same issues with excessive negative camber and bumpsteer as you do with short springs?

You will have the camber issues no matter how you lower the car. I haven't heard of anyone having bumpsteer problems on the forum.

I assume the Steeda coilover system maintains full suspension travel and ride comfort as opposed to the choppy, limited travel effect you get with short springs, right?

Good question. I only know of Mr V that had coilovers on his car. But there has to be others here with them.

I run KW coil overs on my car. It was the very first set to come out for the S197 and they are made in Germany. There are 2 types (v1 or v3) If your into racing, V3 is the best but for street the V1 is good. I've had them on my car since oct 05 and never had a problem and ride is awesome.

I got the FFRP handlig kit for my car and it's a pretty good setup. Because it is built as a system it is well balanced.

I wish I went with the H&R coil over setup though.
