Recently I had a rocker arm slip and ruin my whole valve train along with the passanger side FRPP Hot rod cam i had on it. I was curious if I could find a replacement cam without having to buy a new set. Does anybody know of a good avenue to do this?
I haven't modded anything yet but plan to and I'm sure ill have a bunch of questions myself.
As far as the cams though, I think it would be advisable to do both sides as in your driver side cam will be "worn in" while your passenger side will be brand new. I'm guessing this would cause funky stuff to happen to your engine. Would love to hear what other people think as well. Just my opinion
no...after magnufluzing the cam for cracks and checking for straightness, they simply weld metal onto the surface and then re-grind it back to the original spec.
The orginal cam mfg would be my 1st choice...after that, check local to the texas area
