I think in a recent review in one of the major Mustang mags, the MAC headers had the best gains & were priced better than the others.

I've had Kooks on order since July 17th they keep telling me they are having bender problems and other types of problems since they just moved their facility to North Carolina. They told me this week they should ship the end of next week, if not, I'm going to cancel my order and run with someone else.

I think there have to be at least 100 threads on 'what's the best header'.

Pypes has just come out with some longtubes priced lower than some of the others. But I dont think they sell a catted midpipe for themonly off road. I saw them at Brenspeed and brenspeed stated they were tune friendly because of the location the oxygen sensors.

If I ever get a set Im leaning towards Kooks.

At Carlisle this year I got pypes LT with x-pipe and ceramic cats for $650 shipped... haven't got them on yet, did my SC first then I will do my headers. The guy from pypes told me they are almost exactly like kooks but for less money.

2005 Roush stage 3 with FRPP Big Brake kit, Pypes Long Tube Headers and X-pipe, and JDM Tuned Edelbrock E-Force @ 10lbs making 490rwhp.

The Pypes look nice but I always worry about stuff made in China.

+1 I try to stay away from parts made in Chine

For the price of the Pyes headers...you can buy JBA or BBK.
Both made here in North America.
Shelby uses JBA for a lot of their aftermarket headers.

Not sure why, maybe my years working retail, but i'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for" Any product Pypes produces is fairly to considerably cheaper then anyone else. I have to question if they are just digging into their profit, which i highly doubt, or just cheaping out somewhere to make the same profit % as everyone else. I'm personally going to keep away from them for that one reason alone. I do understand my exhaust will rust in time, but i'd rather it be in 100k miles not 10k miles.
