Who knows. Not all miles are the same. If you are slap strapped for cash it probably would be a bad move to do it. If you can afford to have an engine go out then go for it. Not saying it will go out, but you can ask anybody on here that your always playing with fire once you slap the blower on. Some are lucky and some aren't and from what I have seen I believe way more are lucky than not. I garuntee you if you were to strap a blower on 100 brand new 4.6 3v's all putting out the same power, let's say 500rwhp, and running the same conditions for 6000rpms there would likely be failures on some and not on others. You never know which one you will be so it's good to atleast have the reality check, yes, it's possible my engine will blow. On the flipside, my car had 45k miles on it when I bought it off ebay and I'm fairly certain they weren't easy miles considering my rearend had a howling noise, my clutch was worn to death and the type of LCA's on the back said they were wanting to hook up with traction and didn't care about noise. There were other mods aswell. That being said, I didn' give care and was secretly hoping it would blow so I could forge my engine. Gotta have an excuse for the wife. Anyway, 20k miles later at 430rwhp and some VERY spirited driving and the engine hasn't let out a peep of an odd sound. The difference in the car before the blower and after is WELL worth the money IMO.
