Not an fm modulator. Charges ipod and allows for ipod control from head unit. Plus allows satellite radio for those not already equipped for it.
Ipod cable is in glove box. Plug in ipod leave it in glove box.

I installed the FRD-04 adapter a few months ago and it works very well. You can't control the IPOD, but you you just put the volume on the IPOD at medium range and push the aux button on the radio to send the ipod output through the radio.
I ran the audio cable under the center console and up into the console bin and I just put the ipod or my cell phone inside the bin.
I just replaced my head unit and I have an I pod interface that was hooked up to my stock shaker 500 unit for sale. Works great and charges and controls your I pod through the stock radio. Make offer and it's yours email@example.com
