2005 Mustang Curb Weight & mileage ratings

I did a search here and also on Fords website. To no avail. Does someone have vehicle weight and mileage ratings for an 05 Mustang GT V8. Thanks

I was wrong it is 3450 for a coupe and 3600 for a vert. 3750 is the GTO.
3300 was a V6.

add about 50lbs for an auto.

Thanks for the Data

Thanks for the specs. I too like the goat and b/c of the chassis/drivetrain and the incredible deal between GM and the local dealership and my GM card monies, I have bite the bullet, shame myself into the exterior styling that is sub par, and spend my money on a GTO. Still it was tough, the Mustang GT is simply an awesome car.

The other thing is, I seem to have the best luck with odd model year cars ... beats me??? No 05 Mustangs around here. So this is the breakdown on the GTO and why I gotta buy.

34,185, MSRP, 18" wheels, six-speed

30,718.93, Employee price

1000.00, GM 96 hour sale money (starts Tuesday and finalizes GMs employee discount run on Thursday)

1500.00, dealership dollars

500.00, internet coupon from Performance Pontiac

3,491.00, accumulated on my GM card

24,227.93, Price paid

The Mustang optioned the way I want it was 27,987.40. About 3800.00 more, and darn near worth it.

The Mustang is lighter. The mpg is equivalent to the GTO. I am looking to 2007 for a Mustang GT. Think by 07 model year, one should be able to get a GT under MSRP?

Wow. Awesome deal, Apex, and like you and a few others I also dig the Goat. Before I ordered my '05 GT back in May, I had a very very hard time deciding between the two. The Mustang won out for some very minor reasons plus the difference in price at the time - we could NOT find a GTO below 31K.

The most common argument against the GTO hs been it's exterior styling but to me, this is the weakest argument. As great as the Mustang's retro stylng is, and as questionable or bland (in comparison) the GTO's styling is, you can see neither when you are in the driver's seat. The SEG on the inside is all that counts!!!

Mineralite on a mission.
'05 GT Premium, Mineral Grey / Charcoal Leather / Stock Bullit Rims / Manual Trans / IUP / ActiveAlarm
Mods: Hurst Comp. Plus shifter, Flowmasters, Jack-In-The-Box-Head Antenna Ball

i totally respect the power of the gto, but it looks like any other bland pontiac, the styling on all pontiacs haven't seemed to change much since the early nineties. Although for $24,000 I may have just gotten one! That is a great price!

I understand the psychology of but knowing what’s on the inside but for me its also knowing whats on the outside and knowing how it looks. My aunt thought that the GTO was a performance version of the Grand Prix. There are plenty of add ons that can be had for the Mustang GT to meet power needs. I really REALLY like the Eleanor conversion on the new MGT ... tough!!! I also like the Tiger Racing Mobility Mustang Mineral Grey with the top part of the car painted black. Then there's the orange GTR and the GTU Mustangs. Not many WOW GTO's out there. Lots of cool Mustang variations without a doubt.

Your right, I'm sure Stoopy does, if not physically, mentally everytime, though not stating so, the content of his posts suggest such.

Yeah, we used to get into it occasionally on Mustang vs. Imports. He was actually a firly reasonable guy .. . Autocrossed a lot.
