Default Theft Light Blinking

My car died about 4 days ago, it would crank but wouldn't start due to the Theft light blinking, so I took my stang to a dealership get two keys made (since I did not have original keys) they called me back saying that the transporter or something like that was damaged so I gave the go ahead to get that fix. They called me back again saying that they had installed it and made two keys and had the car running for 5 mins, and that it died on them. They said its blowing fueses, they want to run a diognostics. What do you guys recomend, my bill is already $400 and barely have the money for it. PLEASE HELP!

I did have a remote start on my car, but no longer hooked up.

Default Theft Light Bliking

So I took in my 97 stang to a ford dealership because the theft light was blinking and wouldn't start my car. They made 2 keys (since I did not have them before, the one I had did not have a chip but still able to drive the car) and replaced the transporter, transmiter trans-something (New at this) and they said that car was running for about 5 mins. and it shut off, that it blew out some fuses. They want to run a diagnostics on it but of course for extra $$. I'm already going to spend about $400. What should I do? YOUR HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!

Thanks in Advance

I did had an alarm system before, they say that might be the reason.

I think you dealing with a wrong dealership take the car to an local automotive shop and get it done.

I have heard of the aftermarket auto-start kits going bad and causing no-start problems. Try disconnecting your aftermarket alarm system and see if it'll start. As far as the dealership, sounds like they replaced the transponder. It talks to the chip in the key and tells the computer it's the correct key so start the engine. If you keep blowing fuses then you have a problem and you need to fix it before it blows you new transponder. Tell them about you aftermarket alarm and suggest they discconect and see if that solves the problem, otherwise let them run the diagnostic to fix this.
