2006 Mustang GT Mustang ... intake manifold

Anyone know of a good website or websites I can go and browse intake manifolds for my 06 gt? I would like to browse around for hp/tq gains.

Any help would be great.

Welcome to AFM. Are you talking about a Cold Air Intake or an intake manifold?

Welcome... Why do you need an intake manifold? Unless you're pushing 500+ hp there's no benefit over the stocker. & there is no such thing as a good throttle body spacer

That MMR intake is for race applications isn't it, and i know it's like 2 grand or more for it. Like mentioned, you need to be pushing some serious power and FAST is making an intake for our cars but not sure when it's coming out, maybe soon.
If you car is stock, i would get a good CAI and tuner first. I wouldn't really worry about the throttle body till you get alot more bolt ons.

thnx everyone!

as far as the spacer goes, the steeda spacer that i have been looking at seems kool.

eBay Motors: 2005 2006 2007 MUSTANG GT STEEDA THROTTLE BODY SPACER (item 290188039417 end time Dec-12-07 15:25:09 PST)

As far as the manifold goes, I am planing on some serious HP ... right now im gathering info. the 1st thing on my list is an exhaust. then from there i will pick my next upgrade. Right now, i am disecting my car and looking into upgrading as much as possible.

but like i said, i dont know much about cars, but i am learning as i go along.

!!TIA!!

Before you throw a bunch of $ at a manifold you should plan what you want to do. If you're going to add a blower it might not even be compatible.

Again, a throttle body spacer server no purpose at all. All you'll have is a $100 paperweight. There are far better performance modifications out there.

Agreed, if you go with a super charger you won't need a minifold. If you go with a twin turbos thats another thing altogether. Do a lot of research. What kind of HP are you looking to make??

I have heard that sheet metal manifolds are not good for street applications.

++++1 on the throttle body and spacer being a waste of money. I am pushing 544rwhp and still have the stock one in. The BBK only seems to cause issues and the stock one seems to be a great match for the stock manifold.

Start by telling us what your goals are for your car. If you want a 800hp monster or a 420 hp street car.

Just remember to these Rods in the stock motor only can handle 450hp give or take.

While you're wasting money on TB spacers and manifolds that won't fit the average joe's purpose, I got some good swamp land out here in San Diego for sale. Comes complete with ketchup popsicles and a unicorn too. :nogrinner

Do what most do, get some muffs for sound and looks, add a CAI and a tune/r. Then you're on your way...

You'll always need a tuner, the CAI may become obsolete going FI but you'll have oh so much more fun meanwhile... The Ti CAI is about $100 with the tune/r combo... -> News
