MAC long tube headers

SO!! i haven't posted in awhile and missed you guys, so i need some help. I just bought some used MAC longtube headers and the guy gave me O2 sensor extensions and a full h pipe with no cats pretty much a off road (not a shorty). So my options is can i cut the h pipe to a shorty mid pipe and connect some high flow cats(i wanna passed inspection) or buy a mid pipe with like a shorty bbk with high flow cats with it? please help me out and also it did not come with studs/bolts with headers or gaskets do i need to buy gaskets also

you can do either, probably easier just to buy the catted h pipe and sell the one you have, in some locales long tubes won't pass the visual inspection so you might want to do some research

I used to live in ft. Worth. I've heard some pound cars roll around there. I'm not positive, but as long as you have a shorty catted x or h pipe, you should be okay. Down here in brenham, there isn't any emissions testing so i will be installing some long tubes in place of my m2 shorties soon. If you decide to sell, I may be interested. I make a trip back to ft. Worth every couple of weeks or so.

From personal experience with the MAC Longtubes, have some form of cat thats for sure, at 3k RPM there was the most hideous rasp (This was with an OR Prochamber)

It seems everyone goes the x route because they are easier, but LTs with a catted H would be my vote since my prochamber had a really nice tone everywhere but 3k

I would get new gaskets, mine almost fell apart and they can be had for pretty cheap

Also -- Since I had a second set of longtubes sent to me, I happen to have a spare set of the header to block bolts if thats what you need
