Exclamation How do I reset/clear the check engine light?

I just installed a CAI on my 4.0 two days ago with nary a problem. Today when I cranked the engine, the CEL came on and stayed on. I have a Camry and an Accord and the owner manuals have a simple "reset" procedure. I looked in the Mustang manual and could not find a procedure. Am I just missing it?
Help! It's very distracting.........:?:

I have a '96 F-150 with the check engine light that is on. I took it to the local shop and they told me to disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes and that would reset the light. I have not done that yet and dont know if that would work for our '05 Stangs. You might give it a shot. I think there was a thread that mentioned disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and then drive it aggressively and that will reprogram your EEC for a more powerful engine setup.

Good luck!

Disconnecting the battery works every time, I have an 01/06..May be a wise thing to have it diagnosed though if it continues, you may have to reflash to cure the issue.

I hope you used your Xcal tuner as well, you know that CAI install alone would do that right?
If you installed the CAI with your custom or preloaded tune and getting the check engine light, unplugging the battery for 15 min would do the trick

Holy moly, I didn't even looked at the date. I'm really tired of people pulling old thread like this, I mean what's the point of it. Anyway thanks for nothing, basically I answered to no one, I wish there was a way to automatically lock the threads over a year old
