Hello, I have a problem with braking when it come to the new 275/35-20 front wheels i have. I've had them aligned but it seems only in the mornings when its a little colder out (approx 60F) that i have to fight the wheel sometimes whenever I brake as they pull to one side or the other. Usually i just give the wheel a good couple shakes to the left and right while up to speed and that solves the problem.
Is it because something is loose and I'm simply knocking it back into place or because it hasn't heated up from driving yet?
If you only put on new wheels and tires on the only thing that could be loose would be the lug nuts, and you're not tightening them back up by moving the steering wheel.
What condition are your rotors and pads in? If you have warped rotors the steering wheel will shimmy when braking and usually pull one way or the other.
Do you still have the same pads as before? I bet that when the stock pads are cold they have a hard time keeping up with the extra weight of the "dubs."
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
The lug nuts are on tight, I've double checked them with a foot and half bar. The rotors and pads are still stock, however i checked the rotors and the brake grooves on them are smooth and continuous with no irregularities. Maybe if I want to solve this problem I'll have to swap them out for aftermarket as well.
