Default 2007 Mustang GT... Do I have a replacement engine?

Folks-

This is hopefully just another example of new owner paranoia, but there's something under the hood that I want to know about.

On the driver's side valve cover, there's a barcode sticker that starts with "REP 4.6 L" then "E 1900" and more numbers, then what is probably a part number "7S-837-BA"

The reason for my concern is that this is a Carmax car, and they have an unbelievable amount of cars with fewer than 10K miles, and I just wonder where they are getting them from!

Door jamb sticker says that it was born in July 2006, and that it was delivered to the dealer in August, and then another title change in July '07. That means that it sat at the dealer for a year? Perhaps it was the sales manager's car. Anyway, those three letters (REP) concern me, as like this is a replacement. Do any of you guys have that sticker on your valve cover? Sorry for the excessive paranoia; I will settle down in a few months!

I bought my 06 GT in December of 05 brand new in Florida at Gulf Breeze Ford and mine has the same sticker. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

No problem. The only difference is the last number you mentioned is 6S 836 AA on mine but all the rest with the REP 4.6L is the same.

Interesting. Maybe that number reflects the year of the car. Your car is an '06 and the number is 6S 836 AA and mine is an '07 with 7S 837 BA. Perhaps the '05s and '08s reflect the same pattern.
