2007 Mustang GT... Is a non intercooled supercharger okay
im new to this forum and i like what i see!!!!! good info here. okay my question is i have 07 shelby gt and im not looking to put up huge hp gains at all. i had a 2001 saleen s281 that was rated at 390 crank horse power and if i could achieve those numbers i would be completely happy cause i like the speed of that car it wasnt to fast and wasnt to slow, but i want my car to last and stay my daily driver. i drive my car like a grandpa, but i do get on her every now and then. would a kenne bell or whipple non intercooled supercharger be fine with my motor. i would be sticking with the tune that is supplied with each supercharger. i live in florida so it does get hot here.
The Saleen kit would also be a good choice. I believe their non i.c. setup is rated at 400 crank h.p. You can also get those numbers with a base centri unit.

Do the HO kit with the intercooler but get the 6 lb pulley. If you ever want more power a pulley change and a tune is all it takes. Plus the intercooler gives you a measure of safety against preignition in the Florida heat. If I could do it over again that's what I would have done. I'm ordering the intercooler upgrade next month.
