I have a set of Saleen HIDs coming (got them from someone via Craig's List for $500 NIB - they traded car in). I expect the HIDs to be whiter if not somewhat blue in light color. This means to fogs will look very different. Can someone suggest a color temperature for the bulbs I can get for my fogs so they will match the Saleen HIDs as close as possible?

They list those as 4500k, do you think that is close to factory HIDs?

Strange, the bulbs shown on the Ebay link are filament bulbs, HID bulbs have no filament and cannot be 100w !! I don't know about the "colour" in Kevin degres of Saleen HID but the replacement bulb reference in France is "Osram D1R HID" Osram is the builder of the Saleen HID Ballasts (made in Italy !!!) I have the Sallen HID kit on my car, it's what you need to drive safe on night !!!!!

Hi $reve,
The Saleen HID color temp is 4,000K. I have Saleen HID headlights with stock Saleen Hid bulbs and 4,300K H10 HID bulbs in the fogs are a touch bluer then the Saleen. This is after they are both warmed fully. The Saleen HID are not blue but a pure white color. A set of H10 HID conversions are pretty cheap if you dig around a bit I got my pair for $100 and they work amazingly well. With the Saleen HID on low and the HID fogs on I see no real reason to use high beams which do go farther down the road but the fogs cut out which I hate. I have not had a change yet to look at the schematic diagrams for the headlights but I'm going to defeat the highbeam foglight cut off when I get a chance to.
HTH!
