Did you have to loosen the bolt under the seat and the 2 other bracket bolts to slide the front bolt out? I'm thinking about adjusting the new steeda arm to the same length as the stock one … reinstall and torque it down. Forget the angle of the dangle …err, I mean pinion.

It's been awhile so I don't quite remember what all I did to install. I seem to recall loosening it.

I think I read the 2 rear bolts (bracket) need to be replaced if you loosen or remove. There's a rubber washer of some sort?
New tube on the way also!! thx stl for the heads up contacting JLT.

That must have been nice. I was in one of those situations where if the bolt was 2mm shorter it would have come out. It was one of those "Alllllmmmmooooooooost" situations. That crap drives me nuts!

When I put it back together I welded some reinforcements around where the bolt holds the arm to the bracket because the bracket was already going oval. Then I made a stud out of some tooled steel my friend had in his machine shop and hold it on with two nuts now. No more oval hole and it comes right out when I need it too. Total shop time, 1 week

All thanks to my friend. He is retired and has a full blown machine shop in the building out back of his house. I can go over at 9pm on a Sunday night and mill out a braket or something if I need too. It's great. The skillz are mostly his though. I spend a lot more time watching.

I can always take out the upper arm and try to put in the new one, but the only guns I have are 9mm/38/357/308/22 etc no grease guns LOL
I just did the scary job of drilling holes into the gunnel on the boat for new rod holders. I didn't have to say "oh $hit I f'd up" once. "they wanted the holders where?" never what to hear those words.

Yes indeed … I would think. Maybe I can use my kids laptop or iphone and load the install vid of the pinion angle/UCA/LCA install. Then go show the dude what I'm talking about.

I was just looking at the CHE upper control arm mount. If I'm going to do the adjustable arm … I might as well replace the mount since I'm using new fasteners also. I wonder if the CHE mount is compatible w/ the Steeda adjustable arm piece?
The stock mount has oval holes for ease of installment at the factory
