Coolant for radiator and intercooler Do you guys know if the coolant/antifreeze that goes into the radiator reservoir is the same type of coolant that goes into the intercooler reservoir for a Whipple or probably any SC for that matter?

It's nothing special... You just need a 25% antifreeze 75% water mix.

I'm assuming depending on the weather(for the mix).
Are there different types of coolant(besides different mixes of antifreeze and water)?

Vortech calls for that regardless of temperature. Remember, water cools much better than antifreeze..

Do you have to actually mix water with that stuff? Or is it already mixed in therE?

i would figure you could buy it already mixed. I have found pre-mixed coolant at a 50/50 ratio

The guys @ Whipple emailed me back. They said you could use a 70% water and 30% antifreeze mix in both the stock and whipple reservoirs.

75/25 is the optimal ratio as already stated.
Water wetter makes them perform better too.

No way would I go 70/30 in the radiator, especially up north. I'd go 60/40 in the radiator..

It's only a 12 oz bottle. It helps the water cool better. Filling the radiator is not an exact science so don't worry about getting it dead on 60/40.
