Default I need to run 12.5s on the quarter

I own a 2006 mustang GT with the following mods: T-2 Torsen Differential, 3.73 Gears, 90MM FRPP cold air intake out of a shelby GT, procal tuner, FRPP stinger cat backs with H pipe, Steeda TRI-AXE shifter. Ive been told that with drag slicks I can run 12.8s. My friend has an 04 Mach 1 that can run 12.7s so i NEED to be able to beat his car without spending too much cash to do it (simply because im poor). so i cant really go to power adders or heads so whatever is feasable at a student's budget is what i'm looking for. (i have about 2k in the bank)

Heads and cams would get you to 12.5 with little trouble but that's going to be more than $2k. You could do a set of cams for about $1500.

Those FRPP cams are nice, especially since you don't have to swap the valve springs.

I just got my car "finished" and put away until spring and can't wait to get it out to the track next year, but now you have me worried with this Addiction thing. I have an addictive personality and I have never raced at the strip!! I hope to run mid to high 12

You shouldn;t have a problem getting in the low 12's at least with your mods.
