Default My speedo is off! Help!

Hey everyone, I currently puts some better performing tires on my GT. A little bit wider (went to 245) and smaller in circumfrence. I didn't know that it was smaller in circumfrence, they told me it wasn't. Now my speedometer reads faster than what I am actually going. So I went to ford and told them that I put smaller tires on, and asked if they could calibrate my speedometer to read correctly. They told me they could "try" but they said they weren't sure if it would do anything. Are they filling me full of crap? Can't they do that? If they really can't then what should i do? Cause I am looking to sell it soon, and its not going to sell any better if the speedometer doesn't read correctly. And I don't want to buy different tires again just to set the speedo back to normal. I just need to know what I should do. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm guessing its an 07, right? If you get a predator or sct tuner they have the option to recalibrate for different tire sizes and/or gears, ebay is a good place to get a bargain, just make sure that you bid on one that is unlocked, not 'married' to another vehicle, always ask first. I think the dealer can do it and/or any speed shop, but it'd be better to include it with the car as far as selling price goes.

Ya its an 07. I had thought of getting the tuner, but not sure I want to spend 350-400 bucks. Is there no other way? Or is a tuner or puting proper size tires back on the only way?

A tuner is your only option short of putting the old tires back on.
