to anyone who has had the ford racing 4:10 gears installed with the stock Diif. Cover back on. How much gear oil did you use and what brand. My local pep boys is out of the royal purple I was wodering if i should go with mobile1... Is 4quarts enough? Thank You!!

only reason im askin is b/c im having a shop do my gears and master install and im buying the oil. so i dont wanna buy to much or not enough. you dont think i should go with the mobile1. and is it 75-w140 or 90?

145 is what you need. 4.25 pts is what you'll need. I have stock gears and I'm using Mobile1 in the rear.

No it's not. You can get it from your local Ford parts dept. Some parts counters are open on Saturdays.
