I am a auto but went with 3.73 due to the fact I knew I was going to a blower. If I had it to do over again I would go to 3.55. I only go to track once a year.
If you are staying N/A 4.10 will give you a lot of bang for the buck. Consider 3.90, they all cost around the same, it's the install that adds it up. Is a solid 500.00 mod in most places, so is not something you want to do twice.
When I went to 3.73 while still N/A was pretty nice. Only about 200 RPM more on the highway but could feel the accerlation on the way up. 4.10's would be great if you are on the track more often, but look into the 3.90's. If I was going to stay N/A thats what I would have gone with. Now if I had a stick, thats a different story.
And 12.9's are very possible, I can get into the 11's easy but a guy I ran with 2 weeks ago is N/A with bolt ons ran a 12.1, is Auto, but had 315 drag radials hooking up. Very, Very strong 1/4 mile times!
Good luck
I have a manual with 355 from the factory. No whine whatsoever and this is a vert--I would hear the whine.
Cruising at 2000 rpm around 68 mph. Should have just gotten the 331 and then upgraded to the 373. 410 would seem to be too much.

See my post earlier in this thread about FI and my thoughts on gear ratio.
With respect to cost, I think I paid about $260 for the gears and master bearing set and about $350 on labor sounds about right.

I'm running a 3.55 and a 25.5" tire with a screw blower. 75mph is 2400 RPM's (which I think is perfect). And 1st gear is borderline too short. As soon as I get the car WOT I'm going for 2nd. I have no desire to have a 3.73.

I say the manuel tranny's need 3.73
the Auto's need 4.10s
4.10's in the Auto is fine for highway driving. It will hurt the MPG but the seat of the paints feel is worth it
I'm finding that 4.10s with a supercharger are a bit much.
Don't go to 4.10 if you are going to supercharge, 3.73 is more then enough gear. I should have went to 3.55.
And 350 for install is about the going rate where I live, plus parts. I do know of shops that will do it and do it right for less, 250.00 to 300 plus parts
Going from 3.31s to 3.55 wont really be worth the price of the install and you won't feel much difference.

Sqidd - I am with you... I am running the 3.55 currently and if I am already rolling and nail the gas in 1st, it is going to spin all the way through 1st and part of 2nd, and that is with TCS on! I have been toying with going to the 3.73 because I liked it so much in the N/A set-up, but that still may be a little much with the blower. I definitely would not want to go more.
Sounds like stlwagon may be considering dropping back to 3.73.

Question, if I have an auto 07 GT what would my overall MPG be like with 3.73 or 4.10 gears? Right now it is just under 20 MPG and I wouldn't wana drop too much from that.

Figure about 1 mpg with 3.73s and 2 mpg with 4.10s...

Ah yes.... but also remember to take into consideration the "feel the power" disease which is so contagious and for some reason affects the foot in a strange way - which most always seems to result in making the foot heavier.

Mine is an 07 auto too with 410s and most my driving is in town. According to the cars info center mpg average is 16.5-17. I also have a CAI/tune and I'm not the most conservative driver.
