Hey guys I'm new to the forum I had a couple of questions for you more experienced mustang owners ok so have a 2005 mustang GT with all the options, leather seats, convertible, shaker sound system basically all the the factory mods so i was talking with a friend I haven't seen for a while the other day and he used to work for a ford dealership. So he checks out my whip and likes it and all that but then he points something out to me, he asked me why i dont have the interior encahncement packadge or whatever the thing that changes the color of the dashboard up to 250 colors and all that stuff, and i told him i really dont know and he said that i should have it given that The shaker sytem is there and the leather seats and all the upgrades. So im wondering why my car doues not have it and is my car supposed to have it? Is there a reason why it wouldnt have it? or is it something obvoius like the previous owner just diddnt add that packadge in whenhe first bought it? and if its not supposed to come with it how much would it be to add it in with instalation? if you guys can answer these questions i would really appreciate it. Also one more thing im thinking about getting an Exhuast system for my stang im wondering what is the best for its price and hp and tourqe gain and sounds meanest? thanks.
Not positive but I don't think the "MY COLOR" was available for the 2005 models.
As far as exhaust it's pertty much personal preference as far as sound goes.

The IUP (with mycolor) was standard with the premium package and as an option on the deluxe. It was available 2005+
In '05 the Interior Upgrade Package (IUP) was an option for premium GTs, it did not come standard. In addition, there was a brief period in '05 when no cars were being offered with MyColor because of the lawsuit.
Find the original window sticker because your mustang may have come without the IUP and someone just added all of the dash trim and such to make it LOOK like it had the IUP.
I have heard of some guys swapping out their gauges for IUP ones that have the MY COLOR system. Check out ebay for a good deal

Ford couldn't add the mycolor for a period of time because of the lawsuit, but it wasn't because Ford didn't have it available.

Hmm well thanks alot guys you guys are very helpful should have joined this forum the day i got my stang haha what exactly happend during the law suit? and how did it effect it not having iup?(just curious) im thinking that my car is probly one of the ones that were produced during the law suit hmm you guys think by any chance ford would be able to give me a mean discount now that the law suit is solved? just random questions dont mind my noobie ness haha im thinking aobut going into the dealership because galpin ford is right down the street form my house and there the biggest ford dealership and asking them.

When you say you have all the upgardes what do you have? You should have the 6 gauges, aluminum steering wheel, door handle and instrument panel accent, door sill plate, leather wrapped steering wheel, and of course the My Color.

Speaking of iup. Anyone else have the ability to roll down your windows from your factory key fob? I was a gm at a ford dealer for the last 8+ years and had one of the first gt's and only the first few months of production was this possible. To check, all you have to do is hit the unlock button twice and on the 2nd time hold it down. After a few seconds, your windows roll down. Kinda cool. Just thought i would see how many others are out there.
