Default 2005 Drivers Window issue

I just started to notice that my driver's window no longer rolls itself back up when I close the door. It still cracks down when I open the door but wont automatically go back up that 1/4" or whatever on it's own.

Any ideas of how to fix this on my own?

You can try reseting it.

Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes and letting the computer reset.

If that doesn't work, try the window reset procedure. With windows up press the down button until the window retracts compeltely and hold for an extra 2 seconds. Then roll up and hold for an extra 2 seconds.

I'd try the window reset proceedure first THEN if that didn't work I'd disconnect the battery. That's just me though.

So you're telling me there's a chance!

Window reset procedure, hmm. I think this issue started the last time I disconnected my battery so I will try the procedure first.

Any time you disconnect the battery the windows need to be recalibrated.

Hey, ModularMuscle check this out.

Restoring the Express up functionality (Front windows only)
Under low battery power conditions, Express Up only functionality may
be lost. To reset this function after restoring full battery power, pull the
switch to the Express Up position, hold the switch until the glass
reaches the stall position and continue to hold for 2 seconds. Push the
window switch DOWN and operate the window to the full down position.

Express UP will now be functional.
Perform Express UP re-calibration with door closed only. Calibrating with door open will cause the window to continuously bounce back.

It's one of the easy fixes on our cars.
