Default Thumpr Cams An Livnois cam phase limiter kit

Hey everone I am still in the works of getting the thumpr cams and saw that someone on here mention that they were going to use the livernois cam phase limiter instead of the comp cams phase limiter due to the price and the parts doing the same thing.

Work this work, if so I would love to do it because $130 sounds alot better than the $200 for comp cams product, or $180 if you get it as a combo from brenspeed I would love to save 50-70 bucks.

I believe the Livernois product locks out the cam phaser entirely where the comp cams just limits the movement.

Default phaser lock outs

Livernois actually offers both types. The lock out runs about $50 and the limiter is about $130. They high recommend either one when changing cams. I think there is a youtube video of a 4.6 both before and after the phaser install just to demonstrate the valve train noise.

I'd personally go with the piece that's engineered to work with those cams.
