I have a KB and they piss me off to no end. It's a nice unit, but everything else about the company is bush league.
The new Eddlebrock looks great. I have not seen any tests but it's probably a safe bet that a company with pockets as deep as theirs are took the time to do it right. The claims certainly are impressive and the design concept is sound.
But at the end of the day it comes down to goals. If you are looking for high 400's at the wheels the Whipple H.O. is a great unit.
If you want to go messi with 600hp someday the KB or something like the Procharger are a good choice.
The smartest thing you will ever do is plan out your goals and stick to them before you order part one. And you need to be realistic. If your goal is 600 you have to factor in an incredible amount of support gear. Built shortblock, cooling system, fuel system, clutch,
trans, driveshaft, rear end, suspension, etc, etc, etc. The support gear will cost more than the power adder. If you don't plan on this correctly you will never finish and if you do you will constantly be chasing problems.
