I jsut got off the phone with my tuner. i told him the cams i wanna go with and he said right off the bat, comp is still in there stages of deciding what cam is what.. b/c there changing Stages on some.
He said for advice, if it was his car he would get a cam that will need new springs n retainers and ect. Not a cam that is NSR. cam work is a big mod and go for the kill if you are going to do them.
So im not going F/I. Im going to stay at N/A and he said the Stage 2 XFI SPR part#127500 cam will be good for staying N/A.
alls ill need is valve springs/retainers/phaser limiter kit, phaser lockouts and ill replace my gaskts too.
im goign to be getting a street tune done with the car. i will let you guys know what power i put out if you are wanting to know about Cams and what they produce. Most likely ill only have about 330RWHP.
look for results on the forum in about 2 weeks

It sounds like you got a good plan. What Bkid was talking about is the phaser bolts are a one time use. let us know how it work out.
yes i got a good plan going on. im excited for the results. but... if its only a 30HP gain form these cams.. i was thinking should i jsut save a few extra dollars and go with a blower or turbo setup and get 150+ results

The most HP for a single mod is with a blower. I would not go with a turbo for DD. They work better for track use. Now that is going to get a lot of remarks that that is not ture.
If you do plan of going SC and you want cams you should make sure to get something compatible with a SC. But saying that it won't work with a N/A setup as well. So you have an interesting delema. If you can save the money for a SC in a reasonable time that you can live with then go that way. If not then you have some other choices. You could go with some NOS and then sell that kit when you want to go SC.

i would deff like to stay N/A. Just because when im at my local track almsot everyone there is F/I. I'd like to pop my hood after a nice mid or low 12 run n have no F/I Mods.
I just got off the phone with Scott at Livernois Motorsports and he helped me out and save dme some money. B/C i was about to order the cam phaser limiter kit and and cam haser lockouts. when he said alls ill need are the lockouts, not both items. He saved me 200$
Once i get these cams int he mail. ill be taking a road trip to Maryland where my tuner is located and haing them installed and get a street tune. i will be posting a thread on my results with these cams.

I am hovering over getting cams my self. I found a guy who will rent me the tools for 60.00. I know it is something I can do myself. I will just take my time and do it right. I think I will polish my valve covers while I got them off. Like Travelers said ,you want a cam that will work in the long run ;of what you want to do with the car. You will love Nitrous, it feels great when it kicks in. Only drag is the bottle runs out.

i would steer away from comp. considering they shut there doors
well every site ive looked at, only sells comp or FRPP. and ive already purchased them from Livernois :/ i think ill be alrite. if anything goes wrong with them im under warrenty of Livernois.

I am running a 100 shot which is suppose to give a 100hp. I do not think Comp is going anywhere.Not sure were that intel came from ? That is weird to be honest . I am calling the now , let you know what I find.
