True... This is a small setback by comparison.

Whatever you do, try to rid your thoughts of crossing over to Chevy.

You need a return system with bigger fuel lines. I have some stuff on the shelf that will get you on your way (custom stuff). PM me if you are interested.

Running your power levels with the stock diameter fuel lines and a dead head system is not the greatest idea.

Sorry about the woes, stl. Btw, thanks for the tip re: shaker and C&L intake manifold. I think this will be my next project.

Speaking of "jumping to Chevy", I just read the Car&Driver article comparing Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, and they totally loved the Mustang, dissed the other two!

Here's the e-article: link

The comparison should have been all GM and Mopar, with the Camaro SS and Challenger R/T (426 & 375 horse compared to 315 for our pony), but the Mustang was only 1/10th second off the big-powered Chevy--which really should have been compared to the GT500, not a normal GT.

Well, no matter what you do to that poor car, you seem to get it figured out. Squidd's idea about the size of the fuel line sure makes a lot of sense.

That's too bad, who needs it. As you know, the more you work on cars, the more things you do to them, the more unreliable they get.

Well it's back on the road and running fine. Turns out that the filter was partially plugged. Could hardly blow through it. The idle and lean issues have abated. Drove it to work this evening and it ran fine. Still going to do a little datalogging on my MAF counts and voltage but I think I've finally turned the corner.

I don't know... Last dyno was a shade over 505 but that was at 10 psi. I'm now running a 14psi pulley on a temporary tune (yes, I know, that's bad ). I'd guess I'm probably getting close to 580-590.
