When the DTE gauge gets to 50 miles to empty, it beeps and changes to warn you that you only have 50 miles left. It keeps doing it every so often until it reaches 0. We all know this. It annoys the hell out of me. Is there a way to shut it off?

The fuel in the tank is what cools the pump.

You can hit the reset switch, but that only lasts for a few miles. I don't think you can turn it off. I find it annoying as well, but it keeps me from walking on occasions.

It is annoying, but its also not a good idea to keep riding it that low as mentioned, the fuel is what cools the pumps.
Just don't hit reset the 1st time it goes off. I'm pretty sure it doesn't beep again if you don't hit reset that 1st time.

I hit reset if it really bothers me, and it doesn't come up again until you restart the car next, which chances are I was on my way to get gas when the alert went off anyway.
