Default Dead pedal install question

Hey has anyone tried to install a dead pedal yet in their 05? I found this one http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/online/product_info.php?cPath=60&products_id=1084 but I did not know if I was to “put a lot of my weight on it” how it will hold up. It makes me sick every time I look down at that spot and see where my foot is going to wear into the carpet there.
