My first post! See pix for the reason I ordered a 2005 :)

Hey everyone! This is my first post to this web site - I have been a loyal mustang fan for years since I first purchased my 2001 GT in June of 2001. Sadly, it was totalled in June of 2004 (see pix) so I ordered a 2005 Black GT premium in January. I woke up to what sounded like the rear gate of a dump truck slamming against the back of the truck, and found a guy holding the side scoop of my car. The car that hit me was a Subaru forester and the guy claimed he tried to avoid a squirrel. A piece of advice for him - hit the damned squirrel next time! All mods down the drain

Anyway - my 2005 should be here in two weeks! I look forward to posting on this board in the future!

Well, at least you are getting the 05 out of it.. although the damage doesnt look THAT bad... you keeping it or swapping it out?

How would that damage total a car? It doesn't look that serious, or is there more there that I can see?

I too must say that it dosen't look too bad.

Still, a sharp car. I like the last pic with the tow truck hook, nice touch!
Looks like you were able to keep the black paint nice and clean, better get ya another one. They look nice .

I think I eradicated the squirrel population in my neighborhood with my BB gun by the time I was 12.

It turns out it did zing the whole transmission, and the damage was about 75% of what the car was worth. I wasn't originally planning on trading it in, but at least I get the 05. I just hope I am not plagued by all of the problems i have been reading about

I was worried too.But................mines been problem free:thumbsup .So its not like its every car.
If I did the numers right I think mine was around the 1500 dreth car made.(Not sure if thats GTs or all Mustang models.
