Default How come a/c comes on in vent mode?

I'm at about 3500 miles and starting today a strange thing developed: I get into the car, fire it up and switch the climate control from off to bilevel "vent" mode. When I do this the AC comes on for some reason - never did that before. Same thing happens in other vent modes too (floor or face venting).

Anyone else have this pop up yet?

So you're saying the A/C button is set to off, but the compressor still kicks on when you select any vent position?

...or the a/c button was already on/depressed/pushed-in, when you dialed "off" to "vents"?

yep, that's what was happening... as soon as I moved off the "off" position to vent position, the a/c compressor would kick on.

funny thing is, today it's not doing that anymore... http://www.allfordmustang.com/forums...es/shrug03.gif wierd quirk!

some vent settings will have the a/c cycle on and off appx 30 sec intervals, check your owners manual for the settings, it's not just "a/c" alone.
