My tranny's grinding is getting gradually worse, so the techs in my service should be able to duplicate it soon. Anyone got grinding fixed yet? Does the fix work? How long it takes?

Mine was grinding upshifting or downshifting to 2nd gear about 2,000 rpm or 20mph, roughly.

I told the service department about it and demonstrated to the tech. They still had to take it out and verify, then it took them two days to get a new one, and another day to install.

I took it in on monday afternoon and I should get it back friday. One whole week driving a tarus with my head hung low. I'll let you know if it fixed the problem, don't see how it couldn't have at least temporaily.

What is this grinding? Mine sound loud/ clunky when I shift, but no grinding noises. I have 7k+ miles.

I can feel the dogteeth grinding thru the stick when I shift to 2nd or 3rd. Also some clunking when shifting 2nd, especially when turning. Actual grinding sound effects have been happening less than 5 times or I'm playing my stereo too loud...
