Default question about Meguiars wax

Is there a difference between the Meguiars Tech Wax and Meguiars Spray Wax? I'm looking for a good wax, and Meguiars comes highly recommended. I just want one wax, I'm not the guy who likes to go through the whole 5 step process. Just one for me. I know there are tons of threads on waxing on this forum, but does any1 know the diff between these two? No one has really mentioned the spray wax around here.

From my reading on all the wax threads, the NXT spray and paste are identical except for personal preference of the form it comes in. One is recommended over the other if using a machine to apply it, but I can't recall right now which. The (very rough) breakdown I've seen is that about 75% of folks around here prefer the spray and the rest prefer the paste.

As far as the Meguires Gold... I'm pretty sure that the NXT tech wax is now their top of the line wax, though the two might just have different purposes. I gather most people using meguires on their new stangs are using the NXT.

hope that helps. I believe there was a specific Meguires titled thread a while back that went into more detail.

I read in one thread that the tech wax was better than the gold wax. Kinda wonder about the spray...seems easier to appply. Any other opinions?

THe NXT uses nanotechnology.

I don't trust it, as that stuff can invade cells.

I bought the NXT, and it looks good, but the color of the paint looks - I dunno, silvery. On black the Gold Class looks warmer.

I'm using it until it's gone, then I'm switching back.

That ESP (engineered synthetic polymer) tech is a nano-polymer. That's how it fills scratches.

I know, man! Didn't they see that Star Trek episode where those little nanites got loose and took control of the Enterprise??? You can never be too careful with that nanotechnology!

ja-ja!

No, there are no little nano-bots (yet), but the polymers aren't that different than asbestos in a lot of ways . . .

animal testing has shown significant cancer risks - I just don't trust it.

I'm firing up another heater right now, in response to Coyote's last comment...
