Default Help - Airbag warning light how do I fix and what does the flash sequence mean?

Hi there

I had an AMP and SUB fitted to my car, upon getting it back I have noticed the following:-

Upon turning the ignition to position two everything lights up on the dash as normal except the passenger airbag no longer lights up briefly like it used to do to confirm the system is working. Plus now I get the front air bag light displaying for 1-2s then followed by 8 flashes and this sequence then repeats a further four times and then the front airbag light remains lit.

So clearly the car audio installer/fitters have disturbed something or not plugged something back in.

Please help me!

Thanks

Gibbo

This exact thing happened to me - I had some work done that required the removal of the passenger seat. The person who reinstalled the seat did not reconnect the passenger-side weight sensor. There is a sensor under there that deactivates the airbag when it detects there is a child (real or imagined) sitting in front.

Took it back, they reconnected the sensor, problem solved.

plug the weight sensor back into the underside of the passenger seat.
