I have heard from a number of places that (former) SVT dealerships are less likely to void your warranty for basic bolt-on modifications like exhaust/CAI/tune/etc.

Does anyone know what dealerships in the Chicagoland area are SVT dealerships, or how I can look this up?

Also, does anyone have any experience with a dealership like this or any other dealership in the area, related to getting warranty work done on a modded car?

What area are you in? I know that Packey Webb in Wheaton (where I bought my GT) is really cool about mods. They were a SVT, Saleen & Roush dealer and always have a bunch of used modded cars for sale. I had some warrenty work done on my suspension after I lowered it and they said nothing about it. I also have a CAI with a tune. It is a small family owned delaership that does a lot of business and really takes care of you.

I had my Saleen Supercharger installed at Larry Roesch Ford in Elk Grove Village, IL on Busse Highway...

I think they are also an SVT Dealership...

I am in Schaumburg, but like I said, I would be willing to drive that extra distance to make sure I keep my warranty intact for the first 36K miles.

Larry Roesch is very close to me, but you made Packey Webb sound very tempting. I have also heard of Sessler Ford in Libertyville as being cool about mods.

+1 for Packey Webb. They will let you know up front what they will service under warranty and what they won't.
