Default Rear end lubricant

I am installing new rear end gears in my 06 GT and was looking for input on alternative lubricants. I read through the manual and noticed that a friction modifier is added for traction loc rear ends. If I go synthetic 75w140 do I still need a friction additive?

For those who have installed new rear end gears what are you running for a lubricant?

I would stay with the stock synthetic.

the title of your thread brought something else to mind and I wasn't sure if you had posted on the wrong forum.

The Royal Purple fluid does not need any additional modifiers...
