Default Sound files before and after headers were installed

My first contribution to this forum from having been a lurker for nearly a year. I have an 07 GT and just had American Racing long tube headers installed at the dealer. I got the headers from Fred at Evolution performance. I sent him my Xcal2 tuner and he modified my tune to make it richer for the new headers. Fred is a great person to deal with. I got my C&L Racing CAI and tuner from him at a great price. You should check out his Cobra clips. He has the same headers on the car in his track clips. http://www.evoperform.com/

So here are the clips:
Before the headers:
Mods include C&L CAI, Excal2 91 octane tune, UD pulleys, JBA axle back exhausts.

After the headers:
Mods include: everything listed above plus and updated Xcal2 tune and merican Racing long tube headers.

By the way, a stock GT tried to race me yesterday. After 2 seconds, he was in my rear view mirror.

I go on the dyno tomorrow at http://www.customdynotuning.com/
I'll post my results after I get them.

hahaz, thats what i like to hear dude. i'm very interested to see what your dyno numbers look like. if you read this before your dyno, change the plug wires to racing inspired ones, about 50 bucks at autozone......

Welcome and congrats on the new headers. Sounds real nice. What kind of mid pipe are you running with those? I assume it came with a short X?

I would expect you to be in the 305-310 rwhp range (on a dynojet, lower on a MD chassis dyno or superflow) with those mods. Let us know what she actually pulls.

Just back from the Dyno. 349.9 @6186 RPM/135.8 MPH. Max Torque 332.9 @4520 RPM/97.8MPH. The guys at customdynotuning.com have tested alot of Mustangs and said most go a little over 300HP and mine clearly was the strongest naturally asperated Mustang to come to their shop. 349.9 is 350 to me ! ! ! I'll scan the graph and post later.

Oh oh this sounds very familiar. I read a post on another forum involving the same people (tuners) where they were getting way higher HP ratings than was expected. Case in point your Mustang I think those numbers sound too high for the mods you have, not that I have anymore than you, but those numbers do sound high. What kind of dyno are they using?.........I'm sorry where are my manners welcome to the site, I think? Well you have been around for a while so this is a delayed welcome????? Hey even if those #'s are wrong I still think your ride is pretty cool. I've always been a fan of the sonic blue crowd all though we all know that silver is the fastest color ha K.J.

They are using a Mustang Dynometer. http://mustangdyne.com/.

By the way, these numbers were exactly what I was expecting. I did a speed trial with a friends accelerometer before the headers were installed and we got 326hp at the wheels with our test. The long tubes were expected to give another 25 hp. So I was looking to be around 350.

Ok that sounds right then. The Mustang Dynometer gives higher numbers than the dynojet and other dynos. And again congrats on your mods I hope I can get there sooner than later.

There is absolutely no way they performed an accurate test on your car. Your car on an MD Chassis Dyno should have pulled 295-300 rwhp. 350 on a Mustang Dyno is roughly 385 on a dynojet. You have been fed a line of bull my friend!

No...Exact opposite. MD chassis dynos and superflows are always lower than a dynojet.

Whatever. Call Arlee at Custom Dyno Tuning in Hayward and tell him he's handing out bogus information....510-331-0608.

I Liked the way your car sounded on the first clip rather than the second clip. The exhaust sounded a lot more smooth and clean.
