I just recently left my local Wal-Mart and I was looking through a Mustang mag (I can't remember which one ) and they had a bolt-on special for a GT500. They bolted on a supercharger pulley, K&N CAI and added a SCT Tune and get almost 100rwhp out of it (I think it was like 440ish before and 530ish after). That's a lot, even I know that. Was it the pulley that made that big of a difference? I'm not fully sure what the pulley did as I didn't have time to read the entire article, but I could tell by the pics that they put a lot of effort into getting it on. Obviously, I don't have a SC in my GT, but can simple bolt-ons with a tune produce that much added HP in a GT?
I've read several articles on the Shelby and it seems they can get lots of HP with little effort. These cars are no sweat to get in the 10s. Ford sets them up with a very safe (lame) tune from the factory. They get 600+ with a Kenne Bell. Still not worth 60k.
Yea, that is true... the Vortech 4.6 GT tester with a stock block pulled over 600 on the dyno with the tiniest pulley they have and of course tune and fuel upgrades...
It is just that easy... Get a blower!!

yes the pulley makes the most impact on the hp. a smaller pulley will turn up the boost on the super charger and force more air in, but also puts a lot more strain on the engine.

at kennebell.net they show their stage 3 setup for the gt 500's gets 801 hp and 739 lbs of trq. that would prob be low 10 or high 9 on the 1/4 mi
Yes, a smaller pulley on the supercharger is not at all the same thing as the underdrive pullies you hear about us regular joes putting on our cars.
A smaller pulley on the supercharger causes it to spin faster, enabling it to squash more air/fuel into the cylinders. Our underdrive pullies are larger, spinning the accessories slower and putting less drain on the engine.
I have heard people saying a smaller gear on the supercharger was about the only thing left to do on the Ford GT (not the Mustang GT).
I actually carry three different pulleys with me to the track... 12psi, 10 psi and 8 psi. In the 1/8-mi, there is about a quarter sec difference between them, and about half sec in the 1/4-mi.

I went from a 4" pully to a 3.6" pully and put a SCT 80mm MAF on my car and went from 372RWHP to 473RWHP.

Kenne Bell is coming out with a twin screw for the GT's to replace the weak eaton roots S/C they come with. There is one other thing to be done to a GT if you have nothing else to blow your money on. go to imvfilms.com and watch them twin turbo a Ford GT and get 1000+ rwhp!!! it looses traction if you give it full throttle in 2nd gear.

Uhh...?? Mine loses traction at full throttle in 3d with only 560 RWHP...
