Default what can you tell me about mac headers

I notice that the flanges look like they are made for some kind of adapter. I have never seen anything like that. Can anyone give me some idea. Also I know they are not SS, I ma looking just to get the headers now and will get quality headers later

One more question.
on my previous cars that I put headers, I simply cut the exhaust pipe welded flanges onto the exhaust wywtem and was good to go.
I realize there are some O2 sensors that have to be dealt with but other than that can I do the same thing only have flanges welded to cats and then cats welded to the exhaust system?

You should buy a complete setup with headers and matching H or X pipe. There would be no cutting/welding required and all the O2 sensor bungs are provided.

You could fabricate your existing H to fit a set of headers, but it would take some work and $$.
