Default Eibach Pro Spring Kit vs. FRPP Springs

There are numerous discussions here on AFM on which lowering springs to choose. Many have choosen the various Eibach springs kits. Many chose the FRPP springs (as did I).

Now to the question: The FRPP Springs are supposed to be manufactured by Eibach for Ford Racing. If this is true, which Eibach springs are comparable or the same? Pro, Street, etc.. Also, are the spring rates the same/comparable and were they created specifically for Ford by Eibach?

I am considering installing the new Koni FSD Struts/Shocks kit which can be had with the Eibach Pro Kit springs. Koni does not know the answer to the FRPP comparability question believe it or not, and I have asked Eibach about this but no answer yet. I would like to not have to buy more springs and then sell my current ones which have less than 1000 miles on them. But I may do this anyway.

Your help would be appreciated, and no offense, I do not care if you have other brands, but ONLY knowledge of the FRPP & Eibach springs.

Update....Finally got in touch with Eibach....The FRPP springs ARE the same as the Eibach Pro Kit acording to their Tech guys. The question now is whether to go with Koni's FSDs or Eibach's Pro Dampers. Your knowledge and experiences with Koni's or Eibach's would be greatly appreciated. (I also have the FRPP - made by Eibach - anti-sway bars installed).

Thanks for the help (in advance).

Spings and dampers work as a "system". Get the Eibach dampers for your Eibach springs.

Someone went to a lot of time and trouble at Eibach to make the shocks work with the springs. You are not going to get a better net result than they did by mixing and matching dampers and springs.

Ever wonder why in the world of super high performance shocks why they come with spings, most of the time attached to them? Think about it.

Good thoughts. However, Koni & Eibach seem to have worked together with the FSD/Eibach strut/shock/spring combo set up. These are new to the market, so I may be one of the first to test them as soon as they are available (supposedly late May availability). I have used Koni shocks/struts & springs in the past and they made my cars handle a lot better than stock. I feel that by combining their forces Koni & Eibach may have hit upon a winner. We shall see.......stay tuned.
